Presented as part of BDO USA, LLP's Ac'senseSM series, the Ac’sense 2010 Applying the New Revenue Recognition Rules seminar continues our tradition of lending a helping hand to financial management and those charged with governance in keeping up-to-date on the latest corporate governance and financial reporting developments.
This event is intended for our valued clients and contacts, including those charged with governance (e.g. audit committees), board members, management, finance and compliance professionals of both public companies and private companies.
The presentation will be delivered by members of the BDO National Assurance Department in order to provide a lively discussion and respond to questions posed by participants. Specifically, the program will provide participants with an understanding of new accounting standards and implementation issues with respect to revenue recognition practices.
Learning Objectives: After completing this program, participants will be able to:
- Have a greater understanding of Accounting Standard Updates (ASUs) 2009-13 and 2009-14
- Become familiar with the Software as a Service (SaaS) Revenue Recognition Model under EITF 08-1
- Understand EITF 08-9 – Milestone Method of Revenue Recognition
- Be updated on the joint FASB/IASB convergence project
