Specifically, this program will review the Dodd-Frank Act’s whistleblower provisions and the SEC’s proposed rules relating to whistleblowers; evaluate potential effects on current ethics and compliance programs and discuss how companies may enhance their existing internal reporting mechanisms in response to the new legislation.

• Review the Dodd-Frank Act’s whistleblower provisions, proposed SEC rules, some criticisms of the proposed rules, and the related amendments to the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines
• Discuss the impact on companies’ compliance/ethics programs, boards and audit committees, and employees

  • Encourage early internal reporting of potential wrongdoing
