FCPA Spotlight Russia

Presented as part of BDO USA, LLP's senseSM series, the Ac’sense 2011 FCPA Series: Doing Business Abroad – Spotlight on Russia webinar continues our tradition of lending a helping hand to financial management and audit committees to stay on top of today's hot topics and developments.

This event is provided free of charge and intended for valued clients and contacts, including audit committees, board members, management, compliance, legal and finance professionals of public companies and private companies, as well as outside legal counsel and others.

Increasingly stringent and expanding anti-corruption regulations imposed by governmental and quasi-governmental authorities make it imperative that businesses operating in today’s global economy understand the risks of conducting business abroad and importance of mitigating the risk of corruption violations involving foreign government officials. As part of our continuing webinar series, experienced anti-corruption professionals will discuss the business environment in Russia, including corruption risks.

Learning Objectives: Participants will:

  • Recognize corruption risks associated with doing business in Russia
  • Understand the anti-corruption enforcement efforts and legal framework in Russia
  • Have an understanding of the impact of the new Russian anti-corruption legislation upon information sharing and enforcement trends involving both public official and commercial bribery
  • Be knowledgeable regarding the recent FCPA enforcement matters brought by US enforcement officials in Russia, including a focus on high-risk sectors and the role of third parties
  • Understand the impact of the recently announced US transnational organized crime strategy on FCPA enforcement efforts, including increased asset forfeiture risks
  • Know the elements of an effective compliance program for companies operating in Russia

Delivery: The 2 hour webinar will be delivered via the BDO Online CPE Network. See below for important registration instructions.
