A Look Back to the Year of Our Founding - 1910

The United States began 1910 as the richest nation in the world; a nation where new opportunities emerged and freedom took many forms. It was around this time that people began to move from rural communities into the city in an effort to take hold of the “American Dream.”
Fueled by industrial growth, the American economy rapidly expanded. The automotive industry was quickly becoming an industrial juggernaut, as demand for automobiles increased at an astounding pace. Along with the emergence of new industries, various kinds of art and music started to flourish. Popular songs included, “Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life,” “Down by the Old Mill Stream” and “Mandy.”
Near the end of the decade, the United States entered WWI, and with it came new laws and regulations that would have a great impact on industries for years to come. It was also during this time of pioneering that the first Seidman & Seidman office opened its doors in New York City.
