2018 BDO Tax Outlook Survey

For better or worse, tax has reached a turning point.

U.S. tax reform, at both the federal and state levels, coupled with major international tax shifts have increased the complexity of today’s tax and accounting processes. At the same time, tax professionals will soon face a world where technology can handle much of the heavy lifting, leaving them with the opportunity to fill a more strategic role.

In the year ahead, 91 percent of tax executives say implementing tax code changes will be their primary tax issue, according to the BDO 2018 Tax Outlook Survey. Now, savvy businesses must consider tax from a holistic perspective and aim to develop comprehensive, data-driven solutions to tax’s ongoing transformations.
